One-third of the spaces have been rented out

‘Partnership with one of the strongest padel developers in Lithuania lays the foundation for forming an active leisure cluster. Other sports areas, related goods and service stores will be integrated alongside padel courts. In the first stage of Urban HUB, covering an area of 22,000 square metres, almost 30% of the spaces have already been rented out – specialised stores, business client service centres, children’s playrooms and other facilities will be established here. Currently, we are in discussions with other tenants, and we plan that by summer, customers will occupy almost 10,000 square metres of space – half of the first Urban HUB stage will be open to visitors’, – says Giedrius Muliuolis, Head of Urban HUB:

At present, a portion of the spaces in the project in Kaunas are already being adapted to business needs. The construction of the first stage is planned to be completed this spring, then more than 20 Lithuanian and international companies will commence preparations to set up their establishments and arrange spaces for stores, services, offices and warehousing.

‘We see joining the Urban HUB as a partnership. We will create an important and missing active leisure infrastructure for Kaunas district and its neighbouring urban settlements. We know there is a lack of convenient after-work places for active leisure on this side of the city, close to the FEZ (Kaunas Free Economic Zone) and the other big companies based here. So, we will also offer active leisure, sports and health services, as well as relaxation and work areas in the spacious premises of the arena. We estimate that about 500 athletes can visit our complex daily’, – says Raimonda Žemelė, Head of Kauno Padelio klubas

Fully developed infrastructure for sport

According to Raimonda Žemelė, Urban HUB is currently the only infrastructure and architecture project on the market to offer modern, high-level spaces that meet the highest padel standards.

In addition to eight padel courts, the new space will also house a health therapy centre, a restaurant, a gym, massage and physiotherapy rooms, and a padel shop. There will also be lounge and work areas, a children’s play area and spaces to watch matches and championships.

Urban HUB is currently completing the first stage of 22,000 sqm. It is planned that the landscaping and small architecture works will be completed in May. In parallel, the second stage of the 26,000 sqm project has already been launched, and a month ago, contract works started on the first building being developed by YIT Lietuva on the A6 side of the road. It will house an IKI supermarket and pharmacies, specialised food stores and essential services for customers visiting the area. In the middle of the year, construction of the remaining buildings of the second stage will start.
